If you take away E3's parties, celebrity sightings, gigantic booths, scantily
clad women, nerdy game developers and seizure-inducing lighting, what are you
left with? Games, that's what. And a lot of 'em. But with literally thousands on
display, how exactly do you distinguish between the good and the great?
We have the answer. Once again, we put on our one-size-fits-all Thinking Caps™, bought a cheap bottle of vodka, rummaged through pages and pages of illegible notes and finally settled on the winners of
Game Revolution's Best of E3 2004 Awards!
In true GR fashion, we
have simply chosen a handful of titles across different genres and systems
that we unanimously agreed were worthy of praise, games we sincerely
feel will make an impact when they are eventually released. Unlike other
publications, we did not only choose one winner per system or per genre. Only titles
that were present at the E3 2004 expo were considered.
Kudos to the winners! May your games be great and your profits be awesome.
And may you share some of those profits with us, since we did just give you
an award, and our bottle of vodka is now empty.
